With the aim of making live performances of classical music known to the local public of residents and summer visitors, Musique au Musée presents diversified concert programs of instrumental and vocal music each summer To make the concerts accessible rather than asking for an entry fee the members of the audience are asked to participate according to their means and their level of enjoyment.

Mario Raskin is a master unique in the world of the harpsichord.. The international press has always welcomed his recordings with enthusiasm. Saturday, July 29 , to celebrate his first recital in the Côte d'Or, Mario Raskin will play works of two Burgundian composers: Jean Philippe Rameau and Claude-Bénignz Balbastre in addition to presentinbg typically french works by Josse Boutmy which he has recently recordeed. Certain of his CD's will be available after the concert.

Italian Cantatas by "The Tempéraments Baroques"

The Tempéraments Baroques featuring Cecille Rooveers (mezzo), Charles Van Tassel (bass), Jean Jacques Cericco (baroque cello) and Gabrielle Varro (harpsichord) will present a program of sacred and profane cantatas which are among the most beautiful ones of the Italian 18 th Century. In one, the 15 th Psalm by Benedetto Marcello, the cello carries on a dialogue with the human voice in relation with three melodies. Profane works by Marcello are also included as well as a sacred cantata by André Camrpa. Finally a sonata by Antonio Vivaldi and several preludes from tJ.S. Bach's << The Well Tempered Clavichord >> will feature the cello and the harpsichord.

Solo Guitar Concert by Eric Franceries

This is the first time that we are presenting a concert totally dedicated to the guitar. According to the critics Eric Franceries' mere appearnce with his guitar is enuough to enchant his audience. Mixing classic and modern compositions, brilliantly interpreted, with virtuosity and great sensibility this musician has been invited to play in more than n 25 counttries during the 30 years of his career. He won the <<Victoires de la Musique >> in 1994. The audience is being given the opportunity to hear him playing the complete repertoire of his instrument: the classical style with transcriptions of works by Bach and Scarlatti; the Spanish and Latin American style ; Jazz
